I am a software and data engineering enthusiast with a passion for building scalable systems, data-driven solutions, and AI-assisted development. My expertise spans Python, Django, data architecture, and technical leadership, and I have led teams in designing and implementing enterprise-grade solutions that drive real-world impact.

I studied Software Engineering, Epidemiology and I also have an MBA.

Originally from the Netherlands, I moved to East Africa in the early 2000s, where I worked extensively on health informatics, national data systems, and software development. In 2016, I relocated to the Bay Area (San Francisco/Oakland), on campus of the University of California, San Francisco. In 2022, I returned to Kenya, where I am now based in Nairobi.

My professional journey has combined engineering excellence with a commitment to public health and other common goods, leading large-scale projects like National Data Repositories, EMRs, Data Visualisations, Apps, and other digital health projects such as Client Registries. While I remain deeply engaged in health informatics, I am also interested in other industries where data and technology can create meaningful change.

Beyond coding, I enjoy mentoring developers, coaching technical teams, and pushing the boundaries of programming languages and frameworks. My approach to software engineering is deeply influenced by my ability to leverage AI for accelerated development, making innovation more efficient and impactful.
